Oyinlola Reverses Endorsement Of Tinubu

Olagunsoye Oyinlola, a former governor of Osun State, stated that he no longer supports President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential contest.
Remember that on July 20, 2025, Oyinlola was one of the Osun State members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who supported Tinubu for a second term.

However, the former governor was questioned about whether he still supported the endorsement during an interview on Channels Television. “It has expired,” he replied.

The political climate in Osun State at the time, according to PDP member Oyinlola, was the driving force behind the endorsement.

Ultimately, these developments may be linked to Tinubu’s choice of someone from another political party to lead his campaign in Osun State. That decision could leave some APC members feeling sidelined and unhappy. Hopefully, he can resolve any differences with the Osun State APC and bring the party together.
