Remi Tinubu Expresses Optimism About Nigeria’s Future
According to First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu, Nigeria has transitioned from a time of economic reforms to one of prosperity.
In support of President Bola Tinubu’s reelection campaign, she made the statement on Saturday in Enugu State at the All Progressives Congress Women Mobilization Directorate’s Southeast Women Mega Empowerment Rally.
The First Lady stated that her husband had asked her to reassure Nigerians that the nation was headed toward economic prosperity while speaking in Pidgin English.
“Mr President say make I greet everybody. You know why? He say make I tell una say we don do reforms, na prosperity we dey now,” she said.
“You know that when a woman is pregnant, e go dey wonder when the pikin go come. You know that we are pushing into prosperity.
“We no dey talk, talk, talk and talk alone. I hear una say, talk and do. And you know say e dey pain dem o but e dey sweet us.
The First Lady also declared that 250 women would each receive N200,000 to launch businesses as part of her plans to empower women throughout the Southeast.
She added that the initiatives would benefit 750 women in the five Southeast states and that another empowerment program for 250 senior women would take place on December 17.
“On World Disability Day, on December 3rd, we’re going to give all of the una senatorial candidates money to empower,” she declared.
She went on to say that APC candidates in the area would carry out the program for senior women, and she urged them to make sure it was carried out.
“Make una vote my husband and others for January 16. Like my sister said, from top to where? Bottom.”
Ultimately, we all want a brighter future and a new era of progress and prosperity for Nigeria. We hope these aspirations will become reality, and that the country will hold peaceful and fair elections—where every vote counts and no lives are lost.
