Utomi Charges Nigerians To Defend Their Mandate In 2027
In order to bring about political change in Nigeria, political economist and professor Pat Utomi has called on Nigerians to cast large numbers of ballots in the 2027 general elections and to stand by their votes.
Utomi made the request at a town hall meeting in Enugu, where he endorsed a proposed political alliance between former Kano State governor Rabiu Kwankwaso and National Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate Peter Obi.
The professor expressed his belief that the two politicians working together could offer Nigeria a different course.
“We come before you to say to you that we have done our research and I know, that I know, that I know, that a combination of Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso will deliver Nigeria,” Utomi said.
“All that is left is for all of us to ensure that the people come out massively, vote, defend their votes and a new Nigeria will begin,” he said.
“Give me a birthday present on the 6th of February next year and let a new Nigeria begin.”
Ultimately, we all want a new and better Nigeria—a country where life is easier, families can put food on the table without struggling, and everyone, including the poor, can live comfortably. We want reliable electricity, greater opportunity, and a nation where people can afford the things they need. To move towards that future, voters should come out and vote for the candidate they believe is capable of leading the country. Do not sell your vote; let your choice be guided by what is best for Nigeria. Above all, let us work towards a peaceful, free and fair election.
