The Secret Place Cannot Be Replaced
Moses knew God in a way that went beyond signs and miracles. Psalm 103:7 says, “He made known His ways to Moses, His acts to the children of Israel.” The Israelites saw what God did, but Moses understood something of His heart and ways. This deeper knowledge came through fellowship. Moses regularly entered God’s presence, listened to Him and spoke with Him.
This is why we must guard our secret place. Time with God should not be replaced by constant dependence on technology, social media, or the revelations of others. These things may support our growth, but they cannot become our source. A person who feeds only on the experiences of others will eventually become spiritually weak. Every believer must learn to hear God, study Scripture and develop a personal walk with the Holy Spirit.
Artificial intelligence can organise information, explain passages and help us express ideas more clearly, but it cannot take the place of the Holy Spirit. This is especially important for pastors, teachers, writers, worship leaders and Christian content creators. It is possible to produce words that sound powerful but carry little spiritual weight. True ministry is not simply the ability to speak well. It is the overflow of a life that has been with God. Acts 4:13 says that people recognised that Peter and John had been with Jesus. Their authority came from their encounter with Him.
AI should remain a tool, not a spiritual authority. It can assist with research, structure and communication, but every spiritual message should be tested through Scripture and prayer. We must never accept something simply because it sounds intelligent, impressive or inspiring. First John 4:1 tells us to test the spirits. Spiritual discernment remains necessary in an age where information is widely available.
Before preparing a sermon, article, song or social media post, it is wise to pause and ask: What has God placed in my heart? What truth is the Holy Spirit emphasising? Have I prayed over this message, or am I simply trying to produce content? These questions help us remain sincere and spiritually grounded.
In the end, technology may improve how we communicate, but only God can give life to the message.
