Nigerian musician YCee has provided an explanation for his absence from the music industry, stating that he took a break to concentrate on introspection and personal growth. Updates on Nigerian news
During a livestream with streamer Cater Efe, the artist, whose full name is Oludemilade Alejo, revealed this.
He claimed that the choice to put his career on hold was deliberate and related to a personal journey.
“I have been on the mountain. I went on a journey of self-discovery. But I am back,” he said.
YCee also discussed the origin of his stage name, Omo Alhaji, stating that while he does not practice Islam, his father is.
He continued by saying that love is the foundation of his own worldview.
YCee gained notoriety in the Nigerian music scene prior to his hiatus with hits like Jagaban, Juice, and Omo Alhaji.
