The Pressure Of Being Single At My Age — Blessing Onwukwe

Blessing Onwukwe, a Nollywood actress, has stated that she is unwilling to put her life on hold in order to find a partner.

In an Instagram post, the 41-year-old actress revealed this.

Onwukwe said that although she occasionally feels lonely and longs for love, she is committed to continuing to build her life and seek happiness.

She wrote: “Am I single? Yes. Do I feel lonely? Sometimes. Do I want love? Yes. Am I going to put my life on hold for it? No! I would continue building and living my life the best way I know how. If nobody comes, then I would be grateful I lived the life I am proud of.

“Being single at my age really gets people who love me really worried. Blessing, how far naa, what about kids? (Me scratching my head) Don’t worry, I am on it. Why una dey fear? But I am good, what’s the worst that can happen sef? Abeg, let’s enjoy this life. HAVE A GREAT MONTH OF NOVEMBER.”

Being single can feel extremely lonely at times. You may simply wish you had that one special person to share your thoughts with—someone you feel connected to, beyond family and friends. People should recognise that being single isn’t always easy and stop pressuring others about their relationship status. Be kind, and let everyone move at their own pace.
