Pat Utomi Warns Of Repeating Past Mistakes With Yar’Adua And Buhari

Pat Utomi, a former presidential candidate, has claimed that the nation is now characterized by impunity and a disrespect for law and order.

On Sunday, Utomi announced this in a post on his 𝕏 handle.

Utomi emphasized that this is happening again and claimed that while former Nigerian presidents Umar Musa Yar’Adua and Muhammadu Buhari were dying, people were lying and ruling under their names.

“Impunity and disregard of decent order have become our way. When Yar’Adua was dying people lied and governed in his name.

“They did the same with Buhari. They are doing so again. This is high treason. This is why I say nobody over 70 should run for office. I am 70 years old.”

It’s truly puzzling to see people over 70 still clinging to political power. Honestly, I don’t understand what more they are still seeking at this stage in their lives. It’s high time they step aside and let the younger generation take the reins, bring fresh ideas, and drive the country forward. The future belongs to the youth, and they deserve the opportunity to lead.

QUOTES

We are not trapped or locked up in these bones. No, no. We are free to change. And love changes us. And if we can love one another, we can break open the sky.

QUOTES

Power is of two kinds. One is obtained by the fear of punishment and the other by acts of love. Power based on love is a thousand times more effective and permanent then the one derived from fear of punishment." - Mahatma Gandh
