Wike Reacts To Nigeria Missing Out On The World Cup

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, has expressed dissatisfaction over the Super Eagles’ inability to earn a spot in the FIFA World Cup.

Speaking in public, Wike claimed that when he watched the competition, he was taken aback by the participation of nations he had hardly heard of and the absence of Nigeria.

Wike said;

“Let me use this medium through you to tell the Super Eagles we are not happy. I watched the World Cup, and countries I had never heard of before qualified to play.

Yobo, go and tell them we are not happy.”

Personally, I saw countries I had never even heard of qualify for the tournament, which made it even more disappointing. It’s hard to believe that a whole Nigeria, with its rich football history, did not make it this time. Even my dad, who loves football dearly and is usually calm about these things, is not happy at all. It’s truly a blow for Nigerian football and its fans.

QUOTES

We are not trapped or locked up in these bones. No, no. We are free to change. And love changes us. And if we can love one another, we can break open the sky.

QUOTES

Power is of two kinds. One is obtained by the fear of punishment and the other by acts of love. Power based on love is a thousand times more effective and permanent then the one derived from fear of punishment." - Mahatma Gandh
