Prof. Badejo Olawunmi emerges New LASU Vice-Chancellor

Professor Badejo Ayodeji Olawumi (§ Faji) has been appointed as the new vice-chancellor of Lagos State University (LASU) by Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, September 9, Commissioner for Information and Strategy Gbenga Omotoso made this announcement.

Professor Badejo succeeds Prof. Ibiyemi Ibilola Olatunji-Bello, who is leaving her position as Vice-Chancellor after five years.

Olatunji-Bello, a physiology professor, was the university’s acting vice-chancellor and deputy vice-chancellor in the past.

The institution’s tenth substantive vice-chancellor will be Professor Badejo.
