Nicki Minaj On Why She Stopped Attending Church

American rapper Nicki Minaj has talked candidly about her relationship with God, saying that although she still has a strong faith, her ascent to international fame prevented her from regularly attending church.

The award-winning rapper stated in a recent episode of The Bryce Crawford Podcast that she stopped attending church after her career took off because her weekend performance schedule frequently left her exhausted.

“Once my career started taking off, I stopped going to church. I was working on Friday nights and Saturday nights, so the last thing I could do was wake up on Sunday mornings to go to church.”

“Constant spiritual warfare” in the music industry deliberately sidelines talented artistes who refuse to comply with their demands, including hers, noting that success exposed her to battles she was not fully prepared for when she entered the business.

“I wish I would have known sooner that this music industry was such a spiritual experience,” she said, adding that her journey has strengthened her belief in God and the importance of spiritual growth.

In today’s world, spiritual attacks are pervasive and extend far beyond the music industry, affecting every aspect of our lives. Maintaining a close relationship with God is more essential than ever, as it provides strength, guidance, and protection amidst these challenges. A man without Christ is like an empty vessel, lacking the divine fill that gives purpose, direction, and resilience.

Staying connected to God ensures we are equipped to navigate the spiritual battles that surround us daily.
