Kaffy Explores Why Women Feel Insecure About Growing Older

Published on

Everyone experiences growing older, but for many women, it can be accompanied by anxiety that is more related to how society perceives aging than age itself. Kaffy, whose real name is Kafayat Shafau-Ameh, recently shared that message.

The dancer and fitness instructor claims that she was inspired to express her opinions after witnessing a woman celebrating her birthday who didn’t appear to be thrilled about the event. Rather, the woman seemed to be troubled by the fact that she was growing older, which Kaffy believed many women secretly struggle with.

She wrote:
“Everyone will grow old everyone will leave this world but the quality of life we live begins with how we see ourselves from within.
Let’s embrace everyday every moment as the gift that it is because this natural phenomenon is not gender based so it is crazy why one gender feels or is made to feel inferior for aging?

Nowadays, many women are increasingly resistant to the idea of aging. They often go to great lengths to maintain a youthful appearance, constantly seeking new treatments, fashion, and lifestyle changes to stay in the game. This desire to defy age reflects a broader societal pressure to look and feel young, making the fear of growing old a prevalent concern among women today.
