Gov Adeleke Declares Special Holiday To Boost PVC Collection Before Osun Election

In order to allow civil servants and other public employees to pick up their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) prior to the state’s governorship election, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has declared Tuesday, July 28, 2026, a public holiday.

The governor’s spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, released a statement on Monday announcing the work-free day.

The statement claims that the decision is intended to allow public employees enough time to pick up their PVCs prior to the end of the voter card collection process.
