Bolanle Ninalowo Shares Insights On His Healing Process And Embracing Self-Love

In a social media post, actor Bolanle Ninalowo talked about his path to self-love and healing.

The actor stated on Instagram that self-love is now one of the most satisfying aspects of his life, so hearing others say he loves himself makes him happy.

Reflecting on his past, Ninalowo said that years of people-pleasing, excessive codependency, over-giving, and prioritizing others led him to realize he had no idea how to love or value himself.

“When I hear, ‘This man, you too love yourself’. Omo, you have no idea how much it gladdens my heart oo!! As a matter of fact, it is now one of the most fulfilling parts of my existence.

“Loving and choosing others, people-pleasing, over-giving, and the extreme codependency I lived with for almost my entire adult life made me realise something during my healing journey. I didn’t know how to love or value myself. What I once called Love was, in many ways, simply attachment”, he said.

Prioritizing self-love is essential for our overall well-being and happiness. It reminds us that we should not constantly seek to please others at the expense of our own needs and desires. True self-love empowers us to set boundaries, make healthier choices, and live authentically. Remember, you cannot pour from an empty cup—taking care of yourself first is not selfish, but necessary for a balanced and fulfilled life.
