Bella Slaps Sheggz With ₦2.5bn Lawsuit Over Abuse Claims

Chidimma Esther Okagbue, also known as Bella, is a Nigerian reality TV star who has demanded billions of naira from Segun Olusemo, also known as Sheggz, her former romantic partner.

Bella was suing Sheggz for alleged torture, attempted murder, verbal abuse, emotional, physical, and mental torture, according to a letter made public by her attorneys.

Citing a message their client sent to her mother about her predicament, the attorneys asserted that Sheggz had abused Bella at some point in 2023.

“Mum please call Shegzz to let me go home, I want to go home, I’ve been disrespected enough,” she wrote.

Bella is demanding ₦19.826 million and £10,237, ₦500 million for breach of promise to marry, and ₦2 billion for physical, emotional and psychological trauma. She is also demanding a public apology, as well as retraction of the defamatory publications about her.
