Atiku Secures Victory In Sokoto’s ADC Presidential Primary

The African Democratic Congress’s Sokoto State presidential primary was won by former vice president Atiku Abubakar on Monday.

Prof. Aminu Abubakar, the state presidential primary collation officer, announced the results at the party secretariat in Sokoto. He stated that 69,434 votes were cast out of 69,871 registered voters.

Atiku defeated the other candidates in the exercise with 68,823 votes, according to the results.

Rotimi Amaechi, the former governor of Rivers State, received 292 votes, while Alhaji Muhammad Hayatudeen received 319.

Former Sokoto State Governor Aminu Tambuwal, former Deputy Governor Manir Muhammad Dan’iya, and state party chairman Abdullahi Maigwandu were among the party stakeholders who observed the exercise.

Congratulations to Atiku on his impressive victory, not only in Sokoto but also in Adamawa. His strong performance across these key states underscores his widespread support and solidifies his position as the leading candidate. This remarkable achievement marks a significant step forward in his journey toward the presidency.
