Atiku and Hayatudeen Hold Talks On Unity And Nigeria’s Rebuilding Initiative

Published on

In an attempt to fortify unity within the party following its presidential primaries, Atiku Abubakar, the African Democratic Congress’s presidential candidate, has met with Mohammed Hayatu-Deen, another candidate.

Atiku Abubakar revealed in a statement on his X handle that the meeting happened earlier on Sunday at Hayatu-Deen’s Lagos home, where the two men had what were described as open and fruitful conversations about the party’s future and the status of the country.

The statement claimed that regardless of the results of the party’s presidential primary, the engagement demonstrated a common commitment to cooperation.

The two aspirants resolved to work together in what was termed the “challenging task of reclaiming and rebuilding” Nigeria, with a focus on advancing the collective interest of the people.

I truly admire what Atiku is doing—his recent visits to Amaechi and Hayatudeen demonstrate his commitment to fostering unity and collaboration among Nigeria’s leaders. Staying together and working in harmony is essential for the country’s progress and stability. I support his efforts and believe that unity among our leaders is the key to rebuilding Nigeria.
