APM Warns Election Riggers Ahead Of 2027

Lawal Daura, the vice-presidential candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) for the 2027 elections, has stated that those who might wish to rig the presidential election are in for a surprise.

At the APM Presidential Campaign Organization’s inauguration on Tuesday in Abuja, Daura said that the opposition party is making every effort to mobilize Nigerians for the 2027 election.

He said that the opposition party is dedicated to winning the presidential election in order to reset the nation, pointing out that a reset of the vital economic sectors is the answer to the nation’s problems.

According to him, “the resetting is the only solution so far that can get Nigeria out. And by resetting, it means every other thing that has been configured in Nigeria needs to be looked at, amended, changed, replaced, or whatever.”

“A lot of those that are thinking that there is a way to get votes other than canvassing for them, telling the people how qualitative you are, your programmes, and the rest of it, maybe there are those who may think there is a shortcut.

“Well, this time around, the struggle is for real. We are not going to let them escape with it. We must make sure that everything is done in accordance with the law and the Electoral Act. And for those who really want to rig, that they can pull a fast one, well, they have a surprise coming.”

“I want us to understand that the project here is one. How can we deliver the Seyi Makinde and Maman Daura into the Villa come 2027? And to also form the government in Nigeria, which is one goal. It is not an easy task, but that does not make it impossible.

“We are bound to encounter challenges. We are bound to disagree with one another. But our ability to manage our internal problems is what Nigeria wants to see.”

Nigerians deserve a free, fair and credible election. Osun State election is an example of the kind of election we want to see in 2027—one in which voters’ choices are respected and the results reflect their will.
