Recently, I watched a heartbreaking video of a woman sharing her journey—how she went to great lengths, even dangerous places, just to have a child. She spoke of doing things she was not supposed to do, visiting dark places, and making sacrifices that tore her apart emotionally. Yet, after all that, she still remains childless. Her story is a painfully familiar one for many women around the world.
Women without children often carry a heavy burden of pain and frustration. They endure sleepless nights, emotional turmoil, and societal pressures that can be overwhelming. Some go to the extent of visiting places they shouldn’t, seeking solutions in darkness, just to fulfill a longing that seems out of reach. But what many don’t see is the silent suffering they carry—suffering that is made even worse by the words and actions of those around them.
It’s heartbreaking to see how some people, including family members, in-laws, and even friends, can add to this pain by shaming, insulting, or making hurtful remarks. Such comments can push women into despair, making them feel less than enough, unworthy, or even unloveable. And the truth is, no woman chooses this path willingly. No woman desires to be childless, and no woman deserves to be made to feel guilty or inadequate because of it.
We need to understand that women without children are already fighting a tough battle. They are not happy with their condition, and they don’t need others to remind them of their struggles. Husbands, be their support system—stand by them, encourage them, and show compassion. Friends, lend an ear and offer kindness instead of judgment.
And medical practitioners, approach these women with sensitivity, choosing words that heal rather than hurt.
Let us remember that behind every woman without a child is a story of hope, pain, and resilience. They deserve our empathy, understanding, and care. Instead of adding to their burden, let’s be the source of comfort and love. Because in a world where they are already fighting silent battles, kindness and compassion are the greatest gifts we can offer.
And to every woman walking this difficult journey: hold on to God, the author and finisher of your faith. Do not lose hope. Be optimistic, for with faith and patience, brighter days will come. Keep trusting, keep praying, and never forget that you are not alone. Your breakthrough is coming.
