Shocking Scandal: MAPOLY Expels 365 HND Students Over Fake Certificates

Published on

The administration of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY), Abeokuta, has expelled at least 365 students after learning that they were admitted to its Higher National Diploma (HND) programs using false academic records. According to Ajibola, in order to gain admission to the polytechnic, the impacted students submitted fictitious National Diploma (ND) results and falsified academic transcripts from different universities.

He described the decision as part of efforts to safeguard the integrity of the institution’s academic system, noting that it came after a thorough verification process of the credentials submitted during admission and registration.

He restated MAPOLY’s zero-tolerance policy regarding academic misconduct, including fraud and forgery.
According to a breakdown of the expulsions, 117 students from the School of Business and Management Studies and 156 students from the School of Communication and Information Technology were expelled.

OMG! Why will people go to the extent of forging fake certificates just for superficial success? Ultimately, lies have a way of being uncovered, no matter how long they stay hidden. The truth may be delayed, but it will always come out. In the end, honesty and integrity are the only foundations that truly stand the test of time.
