Phyna Shares Her Thoughts On Marriage As She Nears 30

Phyna is reflecting more on marriage and how her perspective has evolved with age.

The former Big Brother Naija winner recently revealed that, as she gets closer to 30, she has noticed that her perspective on something has changed from when she was younger.

Speaking candidly, she said:
“…I’m just thinking out loud. I remember when I was 22, 23 then you know 29 was so far away but now this is 29 and everything is just dawning on me because I remember that time all those my aunties that were like in their early 30s that they are not married. I’d be like, auntie you no go marry, auntie you no marry, like then it was looking like the auntie get problem. Guys. Guys. We sef don dey touch am o. Auntie no get problem. I swear. Our aunties, they didn’t have problem. No single problem”.

Instead of constantly fixating on age, we should remember that worrying about the ticking clock only leads to unnecessary stress and high blood pressure. Life unfolds in its own perfect timing, and it’s important to trust in God’s plan rather than rushing or stressing over the numbers. By placing our faith in His divine timing, we can find peace and patience as everything falls into place at the right moment.

We are not trapped or locked up in these bones. No, no. We are free to change. And love changes us. And if we can love one another, we can break open the sky.

QUOTES

Power is of two kinds. One is obtained by the fear of punishment and the other by acts of love. Power based on love is a thousand times more effective and permanent then the one derived from fear of punishment." - Mahatma Gandh
