Pastor Jerry Eze’s Church Reacts To Woman’s N1.64m Transfer Mishap

Published on

Pastor Jerry Eze‘s church, Streams of Joy International, has reacted to a widely shared video in which a woman named Sandra Okpara said she accidentally transferred N1,640,200 while trying to send money to her Zenith Bank account.

Following the purportedly incorrect transfer, the woman claimed the money was intended for other people and made an appeal for assistance.

Streams of Joy said in a statement that it learned of the allegation from the video that was making the rounds online, but it insisted that the church had not heard from the woman about the purported transaction beforehand.

On his X they wrote;

“We have become aware of this claim through the video circulating online. However, prior to its publication, we had not received any call, email, direct message or formal complaint from the individual regarding the alleged erroneous transfer.

“Streams of Joy routinely receives and resolves reports of erroneous transactions through the appropriate verification process. We therefore invite the individual to contact us directly via our official channels and provide the transaction details so the matter can be promptly investigated and resolved.

“Our team remains available and committed to addressing all genuine concerns transparently and responsibly.”

I believe that she should have contacted the appropriate department within the church to resolve the issue rather than bringing it to the media. Handling such matters privately and through the proper channels would have been more appropriate and constructive. Publicizing the situation only complicates the matter and does not foster the resolution needed
