MC Oluomo Takes Steps To Improve His English

Musiliu Akinsanya, also known as MC Oluomo, the president of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, has stated that he is taking lessons to get better at speaking English.

He revealed the information on Tuesday while speaking to attendees at a rally in favor of President Bola Tinubu’s reelection campaign, including Nollywood actor Adams Kehinde, better known by his stage name Lege Miami.

After a video of the conversation went viral, the comments gained attention on the internet.

Speaking in Yoruba, MC Oluomo said that he and Lege Miami did not speak English well and that he had chosen to enroll in classes to get better at communicating.

“Neither of us speaks English fluently, so I am taking classes to improve. I travel around the world. I am a citizen of America.

“When I get to immigration and they ask how many weeks I want to stay, I tell them no, this is my home. I am a US citizen; I am going home,” he said.

“My children can speak better than me. My children in the US are nurses, a doctor and an engineer.

“If I get somewhere and cannot speak English well, I will give the microphone to one of my children.”

“I trained my children properly with money. My children are citizens of America and the United Kingdom. I worked hard to get there.”

I admire MC Oluomo’s desire to improve himself. You can’t allow yourself to become stagnant, you have to keep growing. It’s encouraging to see him challenge himself to learn, make progress, and speak more fluently.

QUOTES

We are not trapped or locked up in these bones. No, no. We are free to change. And love changes us. And if we can love one another, we can break open the sky.

QUOTES

Power is of two kinds. One is obtained by the fear of punishment and the other by acts of love. Power based on love is a thousand times more effective and permanent then the one derived from fear of punishment." - Mahatma Gandh
