Foluke Daramola, an actress, has called on those who are struggling to speak up rather than pass away in silence.
During an interview at Temitope Osoba’s candlelight and tribute nite, she made the plea.
Daramola claims that a lot of people don’t talk about their difficulties because they are afraid of being embarrassed.
She said;
“We don’t speak out, maybe because of shaming. We can be there for one another. You understand, but honestly, people have different things they are going through.”
“It is when we wear clothes that we feel that everything is okay. We are a whole lot; before we remember everyone, it will be difficult.”
“Please, if you have issues, speak out, so we can help each other. We can’t blame anyone for not being there, because we all have our own personal issues.”
We understand that the country is facing difficult times and things are not easy for many. However, it is important that we do not remain silent in the face of challenges. Instead, we should strive to speak with the right people—leaders, community members, or those who can help—so that solutions can be found. Together, through our voices and actions, we can work towards a better future for Nigeria.
