Dangote Foresees Explosive Growth: Refinery Shares Could Hit N10,000

Aliko Dangote, president of Dangote Industries Limited, has predicted that shares of the Dangote Petroleum Refinery, which are currently priced at N525 in their IPO, may eventually reach N10,000.

Additionally, Dangote promised small-scale investors who wanted to take part in the IPO that their shares would be distributed before those of large institutional investors.

In an interview with Abis Fulani, which Google Gemini translated, he made the statements in Hausa while talking about the upcoming IPO and its possible advantages for investors.

He said;

“When you do something like this, what is called an IPO, all the small-scale investors are the ones who will be given priority first.”

“The big institutional investors who request large allocations will not get everything they ask for. But the small retail investors who want to buy N50,000 worth, or some buying N100,000 worth, and so on, they are the ones who will be given priority allocations.”

“As I was saying, this share, if you look at it, we are currently at N525. A day will come when this share will reach N10,000,” he said.

“Therefore, if you hold it, having bought it, and it rises to N10,000, where you previously invested N5m, it will now be worth over N50m. You see, you have become wealthy.”

“The benefit of buying it is that holding this share will not prevent you from carrying out your regular work. You hold this share, and when dividends are paid, you won’t need to fear currency devaluation,” he said.

“That is because you can choose to receive your dividend in Naira or in Dollars. If you have a child studying at a school in England, for example, even if there is economic instability or currency devaluation, may God protect us, having this means what you receive is in Dollars.”

“So your child won’t have to… avoid exchange rate shocks, like when rates moved from N400 up to N1,800.

“Most children were brought back home as a result. So what we want to prevent is that kind of situation,” he said.

The 4.1 billion common shares in the Dangote Refinery IPO are priced at N525 apiece. A minimum subscription of 10 shares, which costs N5,250, is anticipated to generate about N2.15 trillion.

The period of the offer is set for September 14, 2026, through October 13, 2026.

Applications will be processed and investors will be notified of their allotments once the offer closes. Applying for a certain number of shares does not ensure that an investor will get the entire amount they want, especially if the offer is oversubscribed.

This is truly commendable. It means that the ordinary masses can also benefit from this opportunity by purchasing shares at a small amount, opening doors for financial growth and inclusion. God bless Dangote for his visionary leadership and commitment to uplifting the common people.

We are not trapped or locked up in these bones. No, no. We are free to change. And love changes us. And if we can love one another, we can break open the sky.

QUOTES

Power is of two kinds. One is obtained by the fear of punishment and the other by acts of love. Power based on love is a thousand times more effective and permanent then the one derived from fear of punishment." - Mahatma Gandh
