Former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua joins CAA Sports as he expands business interests before returning to boxing.

Two-time heavyweight world champion Anthony Joshua has signed a commercial representation deal with CAA Sports, further expanding his profile beyond the boxing ring and joining a high-profile roster that includes football manager José Mourinho and striker Robert Lewandowski.

The agreement, struck in partnership with Joshua’s 258 Group, will see the former two-time heavyweight world champion work with the global sports agency on commercial opportunities, endorsements and wider business ventures.

As part of the arrangement, 258 Group Managing Director Freddie Cunningham has been appointed Head of Client Strategy within CAA Sports Talent Group.

Based in London, Cunningham will oversee Joshua’s commercial activities across endorsements, speaking engagements and publishing, while continuing to work closely with 258 Group and the fighter’s family office. He will also support athlete business development initiatives across CAA Sports’ international roster.

In his new role, Cunningham will report to Roman Di Somma, CAA Sports’ Head of International Talent.

The deal places Joshua alongside an elite list of athletes and sporting personalities represented by CAA Sports, including Son Heung-min, Liam Lawson, Sky Brown, Cole Palmer, Gary Neville, Laura Woods and Kobbie Mainoo.

Joshua, 36, turned professional in 2013 and has enjoyed one of the most successful careers of his generation, winning heavyweight world titles on two occasions.

His most recent outing came in December 2025 when he stopped Jake Paul in the sixth round of a bout streamed on Netflix from Miami.

Later that month, the British-Nigerian boxer was involved in a car crash in Nigeria that claimed the lives of his personal trainer, Latif Ayodele, and strength coach, Sina Ghami. Joshua sustained injuries in the incident, while the driver involved was subsequently charged.

The former Olympic champion is now preparing for his return to the ring on July 25, when he is scheduled to face Kristian Prenga in Saudi Arabia.

Away from boxing, Joshua and 258 Group have steadily built a diverse business portfolio spanning technology, real estate, content production, and health and performance ventures.

He has also secured endorsement agreements with several major global brands, including Under Armour, Audemars Piguet, Hugo Boss, Jaguar Land Rover, DAZN, EA Sports, Meta and Beats by Dre.

Despite the new partnership with CAA Sports, Joshua’s wider affairs will continue to be managed by his long-standing team.

His business interests, family office operations and in-ring matters will remain under the oversight of 258 Group, while communications will continue to be handled by Soapbox, legal affairs by Level, and promotional responsibilities by Matchroom Boxing.
