2Baba Ends Silence On Abuja Club Brawl, Meets With IGP
For the first time since his alleged altercation with his wife, Natasha, at an Abuja club, legendary Nigerian singer 2Baba has made public remarks. He shared pictures from a meeting with Inspector General of Police Olatunji Rilwan Disu.
The singer shared pictures of himself with the IGP on social media, disclosing that they had a deep discussion about community policing.
2Baba claims that the topic of their conversation was the necessity of fostering greater trust between Nigerians and the security personnel who have vowed to defend them.
“Had a meaningful conversation with the IGP on community policing and the vital need to build stronger trust between our people and those sworn to protect us.
When we listen to each other, we build better together”.
It would have been more appropriate if he had addressed the fight and the clash he had with his wife in the club directly, rather than focusing solely on the meeting with the IGP. This isn’t the first time such incidents have occurred; it has happened more than twice, and fans expected him to acknowledge and speak on these issues openly. As a public figure and a mirror to his followers, he should reflect the image he wants others to see. Constant public clashes with his wife do not portray a healthy or admirable relationship, and addressing these matters transparently would have been a positive step toward setting a better example.
