Zubby Michael Urges Youths To Avoid Politician Fights As 2027 Elections Approach

In the run-up to the 2027 general elections, Nollywood star Zubby Michael has urged young people in Nigeria to resist being coerced into committing violent crimes.

The actor voiced concern about the nation’s persistent problems, such as insecurity, inadequate infrastructure, corruption, and poor governance, in a video that has garnered attention on social media. He questioned why young people would fight each other to further the agendas of political leaders.

His words …

“Light no dey, road no dey. Yet them dey mobilize you, you dey jump up and down. You no get sense. Tell that person wey send you make him give him own pikin this gun na.

The war is not youth against youth. It’s youth against injustice. Youth against kidnapping. Youth against. Youth against stealing. Youths against bad governance. The mood is revolution, not killing one another..”

Youths must recognize the futility and destructive nature of fighting and getting involved in political conflicts. Instead of pushing others to fight and resorting to violence, they should focus on building a better future for themselves and their families.

Many of their own children are abroad, doing well and enjoying opportunities that violence and unrest could jeopardize. It is time for the youth to choose peace, education, and progress over chaos, ensuring a brighter tomorrow for all.

QUOTES

Power is of two kinds. One is obtained by the fear of punishment and the other by acts of love. Power based on love is a thousand times more effective and permanent then the one derived from fear of punishment." - Mahatma Gandh
