“Where Is El-Rufai Now?” Aisha Yesufu Puts Gov. Mbah On The Spot

Published on

Aisha Yesufu, a human rights activist, has warned Peter Mbah, the governor of Enugu State, about the state’s current state of affairs.

Yesufu urged the governor to call his people to order and allow the Enugu people to breathe in a post on her verified X handle on Wednesday.

As role models for Mbah, she mentioned former governors Godwin Obaseki of Edo State and Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State.

She wrote;

“Dear Governor Mbah, in 2022, Obaseki was once occupying the seat you are occupying in Enugu. So also was El-Rufai, occupying the same seat in Kaduna. Where are both today?

“These are lessons everyone must learn from. I personally believe that El-Rufai was one of the most instrumental persons who helped Tinubu to be where he is not supposed to be, but see what is being done to him.

“Let Enugu people breathe. Call your people to order.”

I understand where Aisha Yesufu is coming from. Sometimes, when you help people, they forget all the good you’ve done for them. Then, if you make one mistake, they may focus on that single wrong and overlook your past kindness. That’s life, people can forget the favours you’ve done for them.
