The Oluwo of Iwoland, Oba Abdulrasheed Adewale Akanbi, Telu I, has granted social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), the traditional title of Atayese Oodua of Nigeria.
Following a personal invitation from the traditional ruler, VDM received the honor while visiting the monarch’s palace in Iwo, Osun State. Videos from the event showed the activist getting royal recognition while wearing an Aso Oke.
Shortly after VDM landed at Ibadan Airport prior to the royal visit, the title was presented. Since then, the event has garnered a lot of attention on social media, with supporters congratulating him and others discussing the significance of the honor.
