Uzodimma Hails Security Forces For Rescue Of 20 Corps Members

Hope Uzodimma, the governor of Imo State, has praised security services for acting quickly to secure the release of twenty corps members who were abducted along the Onitsha-Owerri Road.

Uzodimma commended the agencies for their cooperation and patriotism, claiming that their concerted efforts guarantyd the victims’ safe release.

On Wednesday, the 20 potential corps members and one additional person who had been kidnaped along the Owerri-Onitsha Road in Imo State were freed.

The governor also praised the Imo and Oyo State governments for cooperating to secure the corps members’ release in a statement that he personally signed.

He clarified that while efforts were being made to free the victims, the authorities purposefully restricted information in the public domain because the incident involved the safety of human lives.

Uzodimma expressed his special gratitude to the security services for their discreet and cooperative handling of the situation.

Additionally, the governor commended the parents of the kidnaped corps members for their endurance throughout the ordeal.

He exhorted Nigerians to maintain their trust in the Federal Government while it tackles the nation’s security issues.

The successful release of the 20 abducted corps members is a welcome reminder that our security forces are working hard to protect the public. We are grateful to God that the corps members have returned safe and sound, and we commend all those involved in securing their release.
