Government Ekpemupolo, the leader of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement, has urged Lagos State residents to prevent a recurrence of the 2023 election in the state during the 2027 presidential contest.
At a campaign rally for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s reelection on Tuesday in Lagos, Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, led the charge and gave state coordinators 57 campaign vehicles.
Kestin Pondi represented him at the function.
In order to cast a large number of votes for Tinubu, he urged Lagosians to take advantage of the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) campaign and obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs).
He said;
“What happened in 2023 must not repeat. He must win convincingly in 2027.”
“Lagos is the city for all Nigerians because someone stood firm to restructure and reform it. From the time he came into office in 1999 up to 2007 that he left, Lagos was the envy of other states. Today, he has a higher responsibility, an opportunity to replicate the Lagos success story in Nigeria through reforms. There is massive development across the states today because reforms are working.”
Ultimately, Nigerian voters know what they want and can decide who they believe is best suited to lead the country. No one should intimidate or provoke anyone over their choice of candidate. Every voter should be free to make an informed decision, and the people’s choice should be respected.
