President Bola Tinubu on Sunday paid a courtesy visit to the Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Akiolu, at Iga Idunganran Palace on Lagos Island.

The President’s visit brought him to the palace as part of his engagements in Lagos following his return from a working vacation. He was accompanied by Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila, APC members, political associates and other dignitaries.

Oba Akiolu received Tinubu at the palace and offered prayers for the President, his administration and the nation.

The traditional ruler also gave counsel to Tinubu on matters concerning Nigeria and the wellbeing of its citizens.

Ahead of the President’s arrival, residents, supporters, APC members and well-wishers gathered around Marina and Isale Eko, with many lining the streets as his motorcade approached the palace.

The gathering drew cheers from residents who came out to welcome Tinubu during his visit to Lagos Island.

The courtesy visit also provided an opportunity for the President and the traditional ruler to engage amid Tinubu’s wider meetings with traditional leaders and other stakeholders in Lagos.
