Tegbe Gives 72-Hour Timeline For Better Power Supply

Joseph Tegbe, the Minister of Power, has pledged that within 48 to 72 hours, the supply of electricity will start to improve.

The federal government has started addressing the generation and transmission limitations that have caused recent outages in certain areas of the nation.

Tegbe blamed planned maintenance at Egbin Power Station, Nigeria’s “largest” thermal power generating station in Lagos, which provides roughly 16% of the country’s total electricity supply, for the deteriorating electricity situation.

In a statement titled “Update on Power Situation,” which was shared on his Facebook page on Friday, the minister revealed this.

We hope power supply improves over the next three days within the 72-hour period mentioned and brings some relief to consumers.

We are not trapped or locked up in these bones. No, no. We are free to change. And love changes us. And if we can love one another, we can break open the sky.

QUOTES

Power is of two kinds. One is obtained by the fear of punishment and the other by acts of love. Power based on love is a thousand times more effective and permanent then the one derived from fear of punishment." - Mahatma Gandh
