Hunter Biden revealed that his father, Joe Biden, the former president of the United States, is going thru a more challenging stage in his fight against cancer, which has spread to his bones.
According to Hunter, the illness has become incapacitating, and the development has been painful for the family.
He revealed the information while talking about his father’s condition and current treatment in an interview that was released by the BBC on Saturday.
“I wish he would complain more, because it’s not good — the cancer has spread,” Hunter said, adding that the disease had metastasised to his father’s bones “and further”.
“It’s very painful… very debilitating,” he said. “Cancer is really hard. It’s really sad to watch.”
“My dad is, to this day, the centre of our family. He’s the best father, the best husband, the best grandfather.”
Biden announced in May 2025, four months after leaving the White House, that he had been diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer.
“I’m dealing with a cancer diagnosis, been getting treatment, and it’s going really well,” Biden said last month. “I want to thank all those who have offered their prayers and support and well-wishes. It’s meant the world to me and to Jill.”
This news is truly heartbreaking. We sincerely wish Biden a swift and full recovery, and our thoughts are with him and his family during this difficult time.
