Shocking: Grandfather Caught Abusing Minor In Gombe

Abubakar Aliyu, 64, admitted on Wednesday that he had sexually assaulted a 14-year-old girl at his pharmacy in Arawa Quarters, Gombe.

The suspect is a grandfather with multiple grandchildren, according to our correspondent.

When questioned by security personnel, Aliyu, who was taken into custody after the child’s mother reported him, confessed to the crime.

The suspect, who was escorted by CSC Saad Buhari, the Public Relations Officer for the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps, claimed that the incident happened three times and that the minor came to his store at nite to purchase drugs.

He said, “She came to buy medicine around 11pm. I told her it was late and that she should go home, but she refused.

“I lured her. When she got home, her mother asked her where she was coming from and she mentioned my shop.”

Aliyu said the girl was the only child involved.

“We had s*x three times and she was the only girl. I gave her N200, other times N400,” he stated.

When asked about his motive, Aliyu said:

“Even my wife asked me to leave the girl but I refused. As one grows older, the attraction changes. It was temptation. I am not doing it for ritual. I sincerely regret my actions. I have spoiled my name in my area and I am relocating because if I remain there I will have problems with the people.”

According to his children, who asked not to be named, residents had distanced themselves from the suspect.

“We are not on good terms with our neighbours. We don’t even want our children near him because of what was alleged,” one of the children said.

What is this world turning into? A grandfather sleeping with a minor is an abomination that should shock us all. It is unfathomable and utterly unacceptable for someone entrusted with care and respect to commit such heinous acts. To make matters worse, he even has the audacity to claim that his attraction is shifting to minors. This is a clear sign of moral decay and utter depravity. He should be severely punished for his actions, as his twisted attraction did not change him into a woman of his age, but instead exposed his true, dangerous nature—a predator targeting a vulnerable minor.
