Ishaq Yunusa, the chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Kogi State’s Dekina Local Government Area, was killed by gunmen, who also kidnaped another passenger in his car.
The incident happened on Thursday near Ojuwo Olijo in the state’s Ofu Local Government Area, along the Itobe-Ochadamu Expressway.

CP Naziru Bello Kankarofi, the Commissioner of Police for Kogi State Command, ordered efforts to apprehend the offenders and oversaw ongoing security measures along the impacted corridor.
Drivers and locals along the route were advised by the command to exercise caution and to notify the police or other security agencies of any suspicious activity right away.
It stated that as more information became available, more updates would be given.
This is terribly bad. How can someone be eliminated when they have not even been given the chance to create or build? Such acts of violence are utterly unacceptable and deeply troubling. I sincerely hope and pray that the perpetrators are swiftly caught and brought to justice so that justice can prevail and peace can be restored in our community.
