Police Report The Demise Of Enugu APC Leader

Prince Ikechukwu Oloto, also known as “Okanga Mo,” a well-known politician, was killed in Nsukka, according to the Enugu State Police Command.

Oloto was discovered in a pool of blood with deep, possibly machete cuts to his head and stomach, according to SP Daniel Ndukwe, the command’s spokesperson, who responded to questions on Friday.

Ndukwe said, “Investigation is ongoing to unravel the circumstances surrounding the murder of Ikechukwu Oloto, male, about 53 years old, in Nsukka.

“The Police received a report on September 17, 2026, at about 5:45 p.m., that he had been found in a pool of blood in his residence. Operatives promptly responded and found him with deep suspected machete cuts to his head and stomach.

“He was rushed to a hospital, where he was confirmed dead by the attending doctor. His remains were deposited at a mortuary for preservation and autopsy, while a manhunt has been launched for the assailant(s).”

Oloto, a resident of Nsukka Local Government Area, was allegedly attacked on Thursday nite inside his home in Odenigbo, Nsukka.

The politician was killed during the attack, according to several sources, though it’s still unclear how he died.

Some people lack appreciation for the arts and the value of human life. Why would anyone want to kill someone simply because of politics? It is disheartening to see that some individuals do not cherish human life, and to them, it means nothing. We must take drastic steps to prevent such reckless violence and promote patience and understanding. People should not derive pleasure or satisfaction from taking another person’s life so easily. Investigations must continue thoroughly, and justice must be served to hold the perpetrators accountable. Only then can we hope for a safer and more compassionate society.
