Patito’s Gang Returns in July Alongside New TV Series, Profiles in Enterprise
The iconic television talk show, Patito’s Gang, is set to return to the screens next week in what has been described as a July double header for ideas, enterprise and national development.
The programme, created in 2000 by Professor Pat Utomi, became widely recognised for redefining public conversation in Nigeria through its bold approach to speaking truth to power, promoting values and encouraging progressive thinking. It was last broadcast three years ago.
The revived Patito’s Gang will now be available on the CVL YouTube channel, patutomi.com, and through several local and international television networks.
It will be joined by a new weekly television series, Profiles in Enterprise: From Apprentice to Tycoon, which will make its debut from the same stable. The new programme, co-hosted by Professor Pat Utomi and Emmanuel Emeyonu, a United States-based professor of business, will spotlight the stories of successful entrepreneurs who rose through the Igba Boi apprenticeship system.
The series will feature the personal journeys of notable apprentice-tycoons such as Cletus Ibeto, Cosmas Maduka, Chike “Chikason” Okafor, Poly Emenike and others, sharing their stories in their own words.
According to the organisers, the return of Patito’s Gang and the launch of Profiles in Enterprise will mark a new season of ideas, news, entertainment and enterprise-driven storytelling aimed at inspiring people towards top performance, stronger values and a better understanding of the world around them.
The programmes will also be broadcast on television stations including TV Noir in the United States, which reportedly reaches nearly 30 million Black homes around the world, as well as several Nigerian outlets.
