Nigeria’s Karibi-George crowned Africa’s Top Model And Advances To The Quarter-finals At Miss World 2026

At the current Miss World 2026 pageant, Tamunosoye Karibi-George, the current Miss World Nigeria, has been named Africa’s Top Model.

Karibi-George has been competing against 140 nations in the 73rd Miss World pageant, which began on August 9 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, and will run through September 5.

The finalists for the continental model were selected from Equatorial Guinea, Kenya, Botswana, South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Nigeria.

Karibi-George of Nigeria, however, won the title and was automatically placed in the Top 40 quarterfinals of Miss World 2026, earning one of the ten spots set aside for Africa.

The organisers of the Miss World Nigeria pageant also congratulated the beauty queen on her feat, adding that it is another proud moment for the country.

“Congratulations to Miss World Nigeria 2026, Tamunosoye Karibi-George, on winning the top model title for Africa,” the post reads.
