Listen To Your Kids: The Voice Of Innocence Can Save A Life

Good evening, everyone. Today, I want to share a powerful message that can change the way we see our children and our responsibilities as parents.

There’s a story about a family where the father and mother are always busy — caught up in their work and daily routines. Their young girl, full of innocence and curiosity, tries to speak up about what’s happening around her. She tells her mother, “Mom, my uncle is touching me,” but instead of listening, her words are dismissed and silenced. The parents ignore her cries for help, thinking she’s just being naughty or misunderstood.

Unfortunately, by the time the truth is uncovered, it’s often too late. A teacher at school notices the girl’s distress and raises an alarm, revealing what the child had been trying to say all along. This heartbreaking story reminds us of a crucial lesson: always listen to your children.

Whether they’re right or wrong, their words matter. Their voice is a precious gift — a way for them to tell us what’s going on in their little world. Ignoring their cries for help can have devastating consequences. If we shut them down, they might seek solace outside the home, talking to outsiders who may not have their best interests at heart.

So today, I challenge every parent, especially moms: make a conscious effort to listen. Create a safe space where your children feel heard, loved, and protected. Because your attentive ear might be the shield that keeps them safe from harm.

Remember, children are the future, and their safety begins with us. Let’s listen, understand, and protect them.
