Governor Yusuf Congratulates Shettima On Emergence As Tinubu’s Running Mate For 2027 Election
Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has congratulated Vice President Kashim Shettima on his emergence as President Bola Tinubu’s running mate for the 2027 presidential election.
Yusuf conveyed the message during a visit to the Vice President on Friday night at Aguda House, Presidential Villa, Abuja, according to a statement issued on Saturday by the Governor’s spokesman, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa.
The governor described Shettima’s nomination as “a recognition of his commitment and service to the nation.”
He also prayed for President Tinubu and the Vice President ahead of the 2027 general election, asking Allah to grant them “wisdom, good health and success as they prepare for the 2027 general election.”
Yusuf reaffirmed his support for initiatives that promote national cohesion, saying he remained committed to efforts aimed at promoting “unity, peace and sustainable development across Nigeria”.
The governor was accompanied on the visit by the member representing Gwale Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Engr. Garba Diso, APC National Ex-Officio Hon. Muhammad Jamu Yusuf; and the Kano State Commissioner for Religious Affairs, Sheikh Ahmad Tijjani Auwalu.
