Funke Akindele Shares Advice on Staying Grounded In Relationships

Funke Akindele, a Nollywood actress and filmmaker, has a message for those who want to follow their dreams.

She says that although love is acceptable, people shouldn’t let it consume them.

She discussed growth, sacrifice, and success in a social media post on Thursday.

According to her, creating something from nothing frequently requires long nights, a lot of effort, and numerous sacrifices before people are acknowledged.

She cautioned that romance has the potential to divert people from their objectives.

Her advice is to prioritize self-love, maintain focus, and recognize your value.

She acknowledged that the message served as a self-reminder as well.

She wrote, “You work so hard, sleepless nights, sacrifices, building something from scratch. Then come the accolades! But distractions will come in different forms, sometimes even as love. Nothing wrong with falling in love, oh! Just don’t lose yourself. Know your worth, stay focused and love yourself first. I’m preaching to myself too!”

In my own opinion, people should remain true to themselves, even when they fall in love. Distractions may come, but it’s important to stay alert, focused, and grounded in who you are. Love should never make you lose your identity or forget your values. May God guide us to make wise and healthy decisions in matters of the heart

QUOTES

We are not trapped or locked up in these bones. No, no. We are free to change. And love changes us. And if we can love one another, we can break open the sky.

QUOTES

Power is of two kinds. One is obtained by the fear of punishment and the other by acts of love. Power based on love is a thousand times more effective and permanent then the one derived from fear of punishment." - Mahatma Gandh
