Eyiyemi Afolayan Shares Her Perspective On Marrying A Man Who Is Struggling

In an open statement, Eyiyemi Afolayan, the daughter of well-known director Kunle Afolayan, discussed marriage, relationships, and financial security.

“I can’t be a second or third wife to any man. I also can’t build with a man because some men are ingrates. If I should marry a struggling man, he will stay with me and be dedicated to me, not because he loves me but because he has no money at that time to be flirting around.

“Once he has money, he becomes promiscuous.

‘I’m from a well-to-do home, so I will have to marry a man who has something going on in his life, not a poor man starting from zero.”

All these wealthy children seem to share the same mindset. Just yesterday, Omotola Ekeinde’s daughter publicly stated that she cannot marry below her standard, and now Eyiyemi Afolayan is echoing the same sentiment. It appears that in life, priorities and values around wealth and status continue to influence relationships and marriage choices.
