Haaland confirmed the purchase in a video message played during the event, stating that his father, former Manchester City player Alfie Haaland, had also purchased a property in the development.

“We will be neighbours in Abu Dhabi. I just got a house and so did my father,” Haaland said in the video message, as reported by Gulf News on October 12.

According to Gulf News, Haaland’s father attended the event and collected the keys to his property.

The second phase of the development features two- and three-bedroom townhouses, duplex villas, and four- and five-bedroom villas. Sales are scheduled to begin in October, according to the developer.

Manchester City Yas Residences by Ohana is located along Yas Canal, adjacent to Yas Island in Abu Dhabi. The project is planned to comprise more than 2,000 residences, with delivery scheduled in phases by 2029.
