Davido Gifts Mayorkun A Tesla Cybertruck
Afrobeats superstar Davido has gifted former Davido Music Worldwide (DMW) signee Mayorkun a Tesla Cybertruck, publicly celebrating their enduring friendship years after the singer departed the record label.
The surprise gift was revealed on Sunday through Davido’s Instagram Story, where the award-winning singer shared a photo of the luxury electric pickup truck and announced it was for Mayorkun. He also instructed an associate to arrange for its delivery the following day, while Mayorkun later acknowledged the gesture on his own Instagram Story.
Sharing the announcement, Davido wrote, “My gift to you I love you 
@iammayorkun cc @babzii_chilling pls have it delivered tomorrow.”
Mayorkun responded by reposting the message on his Instagram Story with the caption, “Love 4L, 001,” expressing appreciation for the gift and reaffirming his long-standing bond with Davido.
The gesture comes several years after Mayorkun, whose full name is Adewale Mayowa Emmanuel, left DMW. He was signed to the label in 2016 after Davido discovered one of his cover videos online and subsequently launched his career with the hit single Eleko.
