Damilola Adegbite Advocates For More Uplifting Dialogues On Love And Marriage

Actress Damilola Adegbite has advocated for more constructive dialogue regarding marriage, love, and relationships.

In a video posted to her Instagram page, the actress expressed her belief that despite the negative narratives that frequently predominate in public discourse, long-lasting, healthy relationships are still achievable.

While tales of betrayal, disappointment, and failed marriages often garner attention, Adegbite noted that many relationships based on harmony, support, development, and purpose seldom receive the same attention.

“Is there anyone who still believes in love? Besides the horror and terrible stories that we keep hearing, disappointments in marriages, betrayals, and heartbreak.

“I still believe that long-lasting, healthy relationships can exist. I feel like I don’t want to be alone; am I dreaming of La La Land?

“Does anyone have a partner who has been a genuine blessing? I’m not talking about being in front of the camera; in private, you are something else. I am talking about behind the scenes; your partner has made you a much better version of yourself.

“Let’s normalise sharing stories of relationships and marriages that bring peace, growth, and purpose too”, she said.

Personally I feel love truly still exists, and it blossoms beautifully when you meet your God-ordained husband or wife.

Many couples are enjoying their marriages in blissful silence, choosing to cherish their union away from the prying eyes of social media.

Love and marriage become truly sweet and meaningful when you are with the right person, building a lifelong journey of happiness and companionship based on genuine connection and shared values.

We are not trapped or locked up in these bones. No, no. We are free to change. And love changes us. And if we can love one another, we can break open the sky.

QUOTES

Power is of two kinds. One is obtained by the fear of punishment and the other by acts of love. Power based on love is a thousand times more effective and permanent then the one derived from fear of punishment." - Mahatma Gandh
