Breaking News: Police Shockingly Rescue Ex-Minister Adelabu’s Sister And Her Children From Kidnappers!

During a late-night rescue operation on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at approximately 7:30 p.m., the Nigeria Police Force saved Mrs. Olaide Busayo Adegoke John-Paul and her 12-year-old twin sons, Peter and Paul, alive.

Two suspected kidnappers were killed in a gunfight with police officers, and two guns were found in the gang, according to a Force source.

Around 7:30 a.m. on June 3, 2026, the victims—among them the younger sister of Chief Adebayo Adelabu, the former Minister of Power—were kidnapped while en route to drop off the kids at school in Ibadan, Oyo State.

In a statement confirming her abduction, Adelabu’s media aide, Femi Awogboro, said the victims were kidnapped at about 7:30 a.m. while Mrs John-Paul was taking her children to school, leaving the family in distress.

“We are deeply distressed by this unfortunate incident but remain hopeful that the victims will be rescued safely. We appeal to the public to remain calm, avoid speculation, and support ongoing efforts with prayers,” the family’s statement read in part

As we reflect on this ordeal, we are filled with gratitude and relief that Mrs Olaide is finally back safe with her children. The reunion is a blessing, and we are thankful for the love and resilience that has sustained them through this difficult time. Meanwhile, our thoughts and prayers are with the children and their teachers who remain in captivity.

We urge the authorities to act swiftly and decisively to ensure their safe rescue, and we have faith that justice will be served. Welcome back home, Mrs Olaide, and may God’s protection surround you and your loved ones.
