Breaking Boundaries: Umahi’s 28-Year-Old Son Takes Ohaozara Leadership
The chairman of Ebonyi State’s Ohaozara Local Government Area is Osborn Nweze Umahi, a 28-year-old son of Works Minister David Umahi.
After months of political activity and grassroots mobilization throughout the local government, Umahi, who ran for chairmanship on the All Progressives Congress (APC) platform, won the mandate.
The new council chairman declared shortly after his election that he would not receive a salary or benefits during his term.
He stated that he made the choice because he wanted to put Ohaozara’s growth ahead of his own financial gain.
Umahi promised to concentrate his administration on initiatives and policies that would boost the local government’s economy, upgrade infrastructure, and improve the welfare of its citizens.
Osborn portrayed himself during his campaign as a youthful leader committed to bringing efficiency, creativity, and a goal-oriented approach to local government management from the private sector.
Additionally, he emphasized the importance of effective grassroots governance and paying more attention to the social and economic needs of locals.
Congratulations to the young leader on this well-deserved achievement. Your dedication and vision are truly inspiring, and we wish you all the best as you embark on this new journey of service and leadership. May your tenure bring positive change and lasting progress to Ohaozara
