After allegedly paying $4 million for a property in Lagos, well-known Nigerian singer Abiola Akinbiyi, better known by his stage name as Bella Shmurda, has claimed that he was defrauded.
The singer revealed that the house did not belong to the person who sold it to him, and that he had just realized he had been duped.
He made the accusation on Tuesday during a tearful Instagram Live session in which he begged for assistance.
Bella Shmurda expressed his devastation at the development and his fear of losing the money he had worked so hard to earn during the livestream.
He said;
“Nigeria, I need your help. I’m not doing okay right now. I spent $4 million of my own hard-earned money, only to find out I bought stolen property.”
“And now the seller has disappeared. Please, help me. Someone step in. I’ve got nothing left.”
“I worked for years for this. I can’t lose $4 million like that.”
“I just contacted my lawyer for further investigation.”
During the livestream, Bella Shmurda did not reveal the seller’s identity or offer any additional information about the property.
There has been no official response from law enforcement or any other party involved in the transaction, and the accusations have not yet been independently confirmed.
It’s truly disheartening to see how some people lack conscience and empathy. Why would anyone want to cause their fellow human being tears by scamming them out of their hard-earned money—money they struggled so much to earn?
Such acts of betrayal and greed are unforgivable. I pray that Bella Shmurda eventually comes face-to-face with the person responsible and that justice is served.
May the truth be exposed, and may those who engage in such evil deeds be held accountable for their actions.
