BBNaija’s Tochi Cautions Ladies Against Hasty Marriages

Tochi Okechukwu, a former housemate on Big Brother Naija, has cautioned against young women getting married too soon and starting a family in order to avoid losing sight of their own goals and aspirations.

Tochi shared his opinions on social media, stating that he has always been against women getting married young and emphasizing that young girls should have enough time to figure out who they are and what they are capable of before taking on family responsibilities.

He pointed out that a young woman’s personal objectives typically suffer when she marries too young.

He went on to say that a woman’s identity can be diminished by an early marriage, cautioning that a woman who might have gone on to become a leader, a doctor, or a prosperous businesswoman might only be remembered as her husband’s wife.

Tochi acknowledged the benefits of marriage but stressed the importance of timing, advising young women to finish their education, acquire practical skills, and become independent before getting married.
